Camp Hope Haven 2024 Announcements

Registration is now open and planning for summer 2024 is in full swing! As in previous years, we hope to serve our campers and their families by offering a fun, safe, and Christ-filled week of summer camp for only the cost of registration. We have some great things planned for this summer that our campers know and love including a petting zoo, camp carnival, camp games, arts and crafts, and camp chapel. We also are adding all new Bible lessons, nature lessons, skits, camp games, and free time activities! I’m looking forward to sharing more updates on our camp additions as we get closer to the summer but for now, here is the registration information.

We have shifted the overall camp dates due to the staffing need to serve all of the wonderful campers that we see throughout the summer. We have also gone back to having dual camps for 4 of the 6 weeks. Teen camp and kids camp will not interact with each other but are running at the same time.

June 24-28: Younger Girls, 8–10 years old

July 1-5: Younger Boys, 8-10 years old

July 8-12: Older Girls, 11-12 years old

July 15-19: Younger Girls, 8-10 years old

July 22-26: Older Boys, 11–12 years old

July 29- August 2: Older Girls, 11-12 years old

June 24-28: Teen Boys, 13–15 years old

July 1-5: Teen Girls, 13-15 years old

July 15-19: Teen Boys, 13-15 years old

July 22-26: Teen Girls, 13–15 years old

The cost for a week of camp will not be increasing this year as we make every effort to best serve the families of Hampton Roads. The total cost for you as a parent or guardian is a registration fee of $100 for kids camp and $125 for teen camp. Our sponsorship program is still available for those who need help for their child to attend. We are dedicated to making sure that every child has an opportunity to go to camp. Contact the camp registrar (contact info listed below) about that process and we are happy to help anyone who needs it.  We know that times have been hard on everyone and we still want all children to be able to come to camp, regardless of the price.

These dates will also be posted on our website camp page, as well as on our social media platforms! Feel free to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to see fun posts about camp and important updates as we get closer to camp. If you have any questions concerning the schedule or registration process please contact us at or call us at (757)427-1500.

Summer Camp Postponed Until 2021

Dear Hope Haven Community,

We hope everyone’s families are staying safe and healthy.

The coronavirus and corresponding state guidelines continue to challenge us to look to God and consider new ways to serve young people for the cause of Christ. We want to assure you that, in the midst of this upheaval, Hope Haven stands firm. We are committed to continuing to nurture children and strengthen families, no matter what challenges are faced.

What our services look like will no doubt evolve as the emergency continues to unfold, and health
guidelines and local restrictions are updated.

Right now, for the safety of all on our campus and in response to government guidelines, we are:

1. Asking that staff members who are sick or in a high-risk category stay home.
2. Following strict hygiene standards.
3. Closing our office to visitors. Please do not come on campus unless you have a previously made appointment.
4. Cancelling the scheduled six weeks of summer camp.

At this point, we are prayerfully considering what form this summer’s camping season will take. We will continue to pray and monitor COVID-19 developments. The safety of the campers and our staff is of utmost concern. We are no long accepting employment applications or camper registrations for this summer. Registration fees will be refunded upon request or may be applied to preregistration for summer camp 2021 (please notify us at

For those who have applied to serve the Lord at Camp Hope Haven this summer, we are thankful for your desire to give your summer to serve children. God has a wonderful plan for your summer. We will be in contact concerning camp opportunities and expanded Switchback events.

Be in prayer for discernment of God’s will, the Hope Haven staff, and our nation. One beautiful truth we can hold to is God is in control. No matter what is going on in the world, coronavirus or otherwise, God is still moving for His glory and His good pleasure.
